A New Seed

Hey hey, it’s him again. Lately he keeps wondering whether, in life, understanding cause and effect and destiny is already enough. Perhaps not

Cause and effect help him see why things happen. Destiny helps him know where he stands in the current of a life. But the future is written from the smallest choices of the present

Perhaps that is why the wise, in both East and West, eventually return to cultivating themselves. Because the only thing a human being can truly control is not old karma or new fortune, but how they create a new cause, right now

He thinks that is the greatest freedom a person can have. Not escaping cause and effect, nor going against destiny. Which means: no matter what yesterday was, today we still have the right to sow a new seed
